We all know Halston isn’t doing so well nowadays, but once upon a time, it was the be all and end all of fashion. A new documentary, Ultrasuede: In Search Of Halston — featuring interviews with Liza Minnelli, Anjelica Huston, Billy Joel, Andre Leon Talley, and Cathy Horyn — hopes to highlight the line’s heyday in the ’70s when, as a voiceover in the trailer explains, he “was like a movie star version of what a designer is.”
