Hedi Slimane’s First Ad For YSL Features A Tattoo, No Clothing

Hedi Slimane‘s first advertisement for Saint Laurent in his new role at the French fashion house is here — and it’s got nary a stitch of clothing in it.

Slimane shot musician Christopher Owens shirtless and lounging on a velvet pillow. The image, as WWD points out, brings to mind designer Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic nude fragrance ad and is the first to debut the ready-to-wear line’s newly shortened moniker. A spokesperson told WWD there are 14 more images in the series. Consider our appetites whetted.
