Helena Bonham Carter Dons Quirky Legwear At The Oscars
If there is one absolute when it comes to red carpet fashion, it’s that Helena Bonham Carter never looks boring. Though we almost dismissed her Oscars getup as tame, she pulled up her dress a bit and we realized we were totally wrong.
Her black corseted frock was designed by Colleen Atwood (who won the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for Alice in Wonderland). She accessorized with a clutch that looked like a fan, but it was what she wore under her dress that was truly kooky. Bonham Carter affixed a Union Jack flag right below her knee with a bright red ribbon. Go Brittania!
