Ever Wondered What It’s Like To Be In A Rich Lady’s Bag?

Just in case you’ve ever wondered how your wallet, phone, keys and other essentials feel like when they’re jumbled up inside your purse, Selfridges (London’s answer to Bergdorf Goodman) has created a gigantic model of the Hermes Kelly that’s big enough for you to walk into.

At 15 times the size of a standard Kelly bag, the Kellydoscope (clever portmanteau, right?) stands at 4 m or over 13 ft. high. It’s made from the same materials as the bag, and features three one minute videos that show a woman toting the world’s first It bag around town — and the people inside the bag will actually feel what it’s like to be inside a bag when its owner is dancing and riding a bike.

While it doesn’t seem exactly like our bag (we’re horrible claustrophobes), we can’t deny how cool it would be to get that kind of perspective.

The Kellydoscope joins other playful exhibits at Selfridges, such as a fooseball table made with Barbie dolls and oversize felt monster dolls. If you’re lucky to be in London between now and the end of the month, swing by Oxford street and check this out — and don’t forget to tell us what it’s like!
