Is Justin Timberlake Ditching The Clothing Line He Created?
The New York Post is reporting that Justin Timberlake has all but abandoned William Rast, the line he launched in 2005 with longtime friend Trace Ayala. We guess touring with Jay-Z this summer is a smidge more appealing than burying himself in patterns, Target launches, and other woes of the hard knock fashion designer’s life. Or, maybe he just wants to sport other suits and ties without feeling like a traitor.
The Post’s sources say Timberlake is still involved with the brand, “But by the end of the year, he won’t be anymore.” Also, a decline in sales could be the source for the star’s split, “Not a lot of retailers wanted it…because the perception is [Justin’s] not involved, so why would anyone want to wear it?” They explained.
Don’t let this sad news ruin your Wednesday. We’ve got a happy JT update also. His album just landed yesterday, and the video for his second single “Mirrors” is already out on the airwaves. And if we’re over-analyzing correctly, it might just be his second attempt at an homage to his grandparents. Check out the preview below.
