Who Will Star In The Isabella Blow Biopic?

Filming hasn’t even started on Anders Palm‘s movie about the life of Isabella Blow, but already we can smell Oscars.

News broke yesterday that Palm had optioned Blow’s biography, “Isabella Blow: A Life in Fashion” to use as the background for the film, and that some serious fashion heavy hitters will be involved in its production. WWD reported that Philip Treacy and John Galliano are already involved, and Grazia pointed out that Galliano will likely play himself. But the rest of the cast (if there even is one yet) hasn’t been announced, and it probably will be kept in the dark until production really gets rolling. With that in mind, we speculated about who might be the best fit for some of the movie’s biggest roles.

1.Jena Malone, Chloe Sevigny and Isabella Rossellini as Isabella blow

John Galliano once said he liked "the idea of her being played by three different people at various different stages of her life." We can see Malone as a great younger Blow, Sevigny as Blow as an adult, and Rossellini as a slightly older Blow.

2.Jason Statham as Alexander McQueen

Both British men favored facial hair and closely cropped scalps, and both came from hardworking backgrounds. Statham isn't an obvious choice for the role, but maybe that's what makes him perfect for it.

3.John Galliano as John Galliano

But you already knew that.

4.Andrew McCarthy as Philip Treacy

We mean, come on. They could have been separated at birth -- and how great would Andrew look with white hair?

5.Crispin Glover as Detmar Blow

Is it a perfect match? No. Does Crispin Glover have the acting chops to handle being a wealthy and eccentric British gentleman on screen? Yes. Someone fetch a jar of curl activator and let's make this happen.
