PHOTOS: First Look At This Year’s J.Crew CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Collabs
We’ve been patiently waiting to catch a glimpse of Joseph Altuzarra‘s collection for J. Crew, and now it’s here!
Altuzarra collaborated with the retailer as part of the prize for winning last year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and now Vogue reports that the collection will be availabile in stores this Thursday. Runners up Pamela Love and Shane Gabier and Chris Peters of Creatures of the Wind also designed collections which will be available for pre-order by phone starting Thursday as well. If you can handle the wait, those two collections will be in stores May 14 and June 11, respectively.
As part of the launch, Vogue asked three staffers to style and model key pieces from the collaborations. There’s a Breton striped sweater by Altuzarra, a pair of distressed jeans by Love, and a sweater set by Creatures of the Wind. We’ll pass on the sweater set, but the other two will definitely (fingers crossed) make their way into our closets.
A few more details: Altuzarra also created pencil skirts and espadrilles while Love designed a belt and a shrunken jacket, and Creatures of the Wind did a floral dress and patchwork oxfords.
See you at J. Crew, guys!
