Jennifer Lawrence’s BAFTA Gown Was Almost Pretty
Sometimes it’s really hard to call a spade a spade. The dress Winter’s Bone actress Jennifer Lawrence wore to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards last night was kind of a train wreck. And normally we’d slam her and her stylist for it, but we can see what they probably saw when she tried it on: This frock has potential.
But no amount of potential can change the fact that the bodice on this thing doesn’t really fit her. It’s a bustier, but with no boost. In fact, it seems to hang limply on her chest with no motivation to do its job, which is to enhance her figure. And because the bodice is all lazy, the skirt figures it can skirt on by with little to no effort whatsoever.
The worst part? That choker makes her look like she’s in a old western movie, not on a red carpet.
Still. It could have been pretty. So we’re compelled to ask:
