PHOTOS: Jessica Biel Is A Versace-Clad Goddess

This dress really shouldn’t work. It’s tie-dyed; it has a single bell sleeve; Heidi Klum herself couldn’t pull off most of this collection.

But Jessica Biel proved herself a formidable force on the red carpet last night, channeling Stevie Nicks in a daring number from Versace‘s West Coast-cool Spring 2013 collection for the premiere of Playing For Keeps in New York City.

It had definite echoes of Jennifer Lopez‘s iconic navel-baring 2000 Grammy Awards number, but Biel toned down the runway look a bit, adding a small seam up from the waist for a little less skin. She probably could have forgone this small show of modesty, especially since in the closeup shots it looks a little messy, but luckily there’s one major piece of jewelry on her finger to distract us from the minor flaw.
