WATCH: Justin Bieber Attacked At Fragrance Launch In NYC
During Thursday’s highly-anticipated launch of Justin Bieber’s women’s fragrance, Someday, the teen sensation was attacked by what appeared to be a crazed fan. As Bieber stepped outside to greet the fans — some of whom had been waiting since Monday — who would not make it inside for the event, an initially unidentified man jumped the barriers outside Macy’s in Herald Square in New York and threw Bieber to the ground.
Bieber, to his credit, bravely defended himself by getting up and moving towards the man, saying, “What? What?” before his security team subdued the attacker. But that’s not all.
According to TMZ, the “crazed fan” wasn’t a crazed fan at all, but an undercover cop. The plainclothes police officer was apparently put in place to protect Bieber should any of his fans go a little nuts and leapt over the barrier when the crowd got rowdy. Unfortunately, neither Bieber nor his security team recognized him.
Warning, the audio is NSFW.
