An Unnecessarily In-Depth Look At Justin Bieber’s New Hair
Brace yourselves, it’s finally happened. Less than a month after he told Maria Menounos and Access Hollywood that a new ‘do was in the works, the pop culture phenomenon that is Justin Bieber has cut his hair. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
On Friday, the Biebs stopped by an NYC Barnes & Noble to sign copies of his autobiography First Step 2 Forever, and debuted his new, ever-so-slightly-more grown-up hairdo. Slightly shorter and certainly more layered, Bieber’s new hair is subtle but undoubtedly different. While the length and texture of his bangs are the most obvious change, the most important has to be the fact that it now swoops from right to left, when it used to swish from left to right.
Back in October, Bieber told Menounos a change was in the works but warned that he wouldn’t “like shave it or anything but it will just be different, shorter.” If we may get so in depth as to dissect his decision, we think the change was smart. It’s no longer the heavily swished bowl cut for which he became famous, but it’s not so different as to alienate his followers. We suspect this is only the first step in the larger scheme of Bieber’s hair. And with that, a gallery. Enjoy a before and after, a closer look, and a quick jaunt down memory lane to March of 2009.
