Justin Bieber’s New Tattoo Spells Out ‘Jesus’ In Hebrew
Justin Bieber — lover of Family Guy bling, purveyor of perfume and sparkly nail polish — also has a thing for body art. The 17-year-old showed off his new tattoo as he frolicked in Hawaii with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
The new tat features the Hebrew name for Jesus (pronounced Yeshua), spelled out vertically in Hebrew letters on his side. As anyone who has seen Never Say Never can attest, Bieber recites a Hebrew prayer called the Shema before every concert. It’s thought that his Jewish manager taught him the tradition.

The Hebraic ink isn’t Bieber’s first foray into tattoos though. For his 16th birthday, he got a seagull on his stomach as part of a family tradition:
And yes, since he’s still a minor, the pop star had to get legal permission from his parents to get inked.
