Kanye West Is Designing A Scarf Collection Inspired By His Album Art
Kanye West just can’t quit fashion. Despite some Fashion Week setbacks, the rapper is launching a collection of scarves using the artwork from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Fancy!
While Kanye isn’t designing the scarves himself — Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag are reworking the original George Condo artwork — he’s apparently overseeing the project. This is what we know: they will be “remix[ing] the artistic elements into a range of silk scarves, pairing their baroque-style letters with [artist George] Condo’s images.”
The scarves will only be sold at Colette (of course!), but those who are not Paris-local will be able to purchase them on the design duo’s website. As a refresher, check out all of Condo’s paintings below. We can’t wait to see the finished products, but we have a feeling the ballerina scarf will be our favorite.
