A Photographic History Of Kanye’s Fancy Shmancy Backpacks
We love Kanye. We love backpacks. Kanye loves backpacks.
We’ve done a whole lot of Kanye fashion posts, but somehow we’ve never picked up on his penchant for backpacks. He really digs them! Our curiosity was piqued when the rapper was photographed last week with a sick snakeskin version. However, this was not Kanye’s first foray into the world of practical bags.
Last year Yeezy first debuted his snakeskin backpack (which we’re pretty sure is custom), and about a year before that he collaborated on a monogrammed Goyard number. In the summer of 2008 he wore a Louis Vuitton backpack on stage, and back in 2004 the following lyric was featured in The College Dropout‘s “Breathe In Breathe Out”:
First n**a with a Benz and a backpack
Ice chain, Cardi lens, and a knapsack
However, his most famous backpack (at least among the fashion set) is probably the ill-received fur one he sent down his Paris runway last month.
