Kanye West’s Line Now Involves Fashion Editor At Aussie Bazaar
Kanye‘s fashion line has been confirmed…again!
Last week Central St. Martins professor Louise Wilson confirmed the fact that Yeezy is indeed working on a collection. She denied any specific involvement on her end, but did let on that he hired knitwear designer Louise Goldin to help him out. Now the folks over at Harper’s Bazaar Australia are adding some fuel to the Kanye fashion fire.
The mag reports that their very own fashion editor Christine Centenera is consulting on the line. The two met at Paris Fashion Week in March, and immediately hit it off. Ever since, the ed has flown to France twice a month to consult for Kanye. Of course, Centenera isn’t even telling her coworkers: “It’s all very hush-hush at this stage, and Centenera refuses to discuss it when she is actually in the office, stating that West is a very private person and that it’s not her place to comment.” That didn’t stop Bazaar‘s Anna McLeod (who sits right next to Centenera) from writing up this juicy tidbit. Awkward.
But, hey, need more proof? Both Centenera and Kanye really dig the Celine print seen above, wearing it within two weeks of each other back in the spring. Cute! One question still remains: does this mean Kanye will be showing at New York Fashion Week?
