Are The Kardashians Actually About To Be Billionaires?
Let’s be honest: The Kardashian family was never a part of the 99 percent, but we never thought Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kris and the gang would ever be billionaires with a ‘B’. But there’s at least one very optimistic businessman who thinks that’s a possibility.

According to Brian Dow, who manages the Kardashian sisters’ licensing operation, it’s possible (and likely!) that not too long from now, sales from the reality TV family’s assorted product lines could top the billion dollars in sales Jessica Simpson‘s various products are expected to fetch this year. Maybe it’s not that surprising, when you figure that on top of the television shows, the commercial endorsements, the retail locations, Kim’s jewelry line, the Kardashian Kollection at Sears, their fragrances, their books, Kris Jenner’s QVC line and the lingering proceeds from Kim’s wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries there are still lots of people who want to buy into Kardashian mania. “The Kardashians could easily be a billion dollar business worldwide in the next two years,” said Dow, head of the branded lifestyle division and a partner at APA Talent & Literary Agency … APA worked on the Sears Kardashian Kollection deal with Jupi Corp., which has been the sisters’ biggest fashion deal to date, on target to generate $200 million to $300 million in retail sales in the first 12 months, according to Jupi president Bruno Schiavi.

Still, if the Kardashians are going to be on the Forbes 400 list by, say, 2013, they have a lot of catching up to do. Women’s Wear Daily reports that the family’s total net payday for 2010 was $65 million. If they want to have another $935 million in the bank in the next 24 months, sales would have to grow exponentially. But if a sex tape could turn one girl’s family into an unstoppable entertainment industry juggernaut, we guess anything really is possible.
