Karl Lagerfeld Apologizes To Adele With Chanel Bags

Karl Lagerfeld never ceases to amaze us. He went to the supermarket for the first time ever this year, he changes his bed sheets everyday, and now we know that he apparently apologizes like a boss.

The Chanel designer received a lot of flack when he called Adele “too fat” in the Paris edition of Metro back in February. Even Anderson Cooper and Madonna publicly criticized Lagerfeld for his insensitive comments. The designer quickly apologized and said that his interview was taken out of context.

Now The Sun reports that Lagerfeld has sent the songstress a “collection of Chanel bags worth a fortune” as an apology. What the what? A collection of Chanel babies? How is she even going to have enough space to display them alongside her six Grammy awards?

The number of bags sent remains a mystery, but even one 2.55 bag would be enough for us to forgive the designer. Then again, maybe Adele should hold out and get some little black jackets out of him as well.

On a related note, does anyone think Lagerfeld will apologize to Tina Brown the same way?

Bet / hope Adele tells him to take his tacky bags & shove ‘em. Sending a seamstress over to measure her for some couture dresses would have been a more appropriate apology. AND it would make a statement that he’s the exception among most designers–by accommodating someone larger than a size 8 and showing they can rock couture too.

just to apologise personally by letter would have been enough… and not send bags to buy her forgiveness he is cheap cheap cheap

Well, he can apologize to me with as many Chanel bags as he wants!  ;)
