Karl Lagerfeld Goes To The Supermarket For The First Time In His Life

Krazy Karl strikes again!

Karl Lagerfeld is the subject of a spread in next week’s French Elle (French Elle is a weekly, unlike monthly American Elle), in which he goes to the supermarket for the first time in his life. Seriously.

He tells the mag: “It’s the first time I’ve stepped into a supermarket. It’s crazy — fascinating what one can buy. There’s enough here to easily gain 20 kilos.” He also hasn’t driven since he was 18, which he says is a “benefit to society because I ended up in a ditch, without knowing why!”

Like we said, Krazy Karl. Other “places of the people” the Kaiser intends to visit in the near future: a gas station, a bank, a laundromat, and maybe even a shopping mall.

THIS IS NEWS??   Are you people for real?  What a spoiled brat of a man.  I wonder if there is a single reader of this nonsense who is as spoiled as this man, who can say that he or she never went to a supermarket before.  Get real, karl, this is the real world.  You live in some phony rarefied air where everyone who air kisses  you would just as soon stab you in the back.

“Other places of the people”?  Man, you are one out of touch dude.  You are a joke and an anachronism.

I was about to ask the same question as Talking Turkey, but see he or she, beat me to it.

Do you not get paid Julia? If you do get paid for “working,” Julia, why is this un-interesting bit about Langerfeld in a supermarket, & his future visits to other places of people, even here? Last time I checked, Dangerfeld was still a person.

I don’t expect you to “get” that though.

Honestly, his ridiculousness makes not want to wear his stuff and put money into his pocket. It’s modern day snobbery and laziness. If this had been in history, he’d be mumbling about letting us eat cake. Places of the people, my ass.
