WATCH: Of Course Baptiste Is In Karl’s VW Commercials
A few weeks ago we reported that Karl Lagerfeld would star in a commercial for, of all brands, Volkswagen, the reliable German automaker loved round the world. We kinda thought that Baptiste Giabiconi would be busy somewhere promoting the mess out of his new song, but we should have known by now that wherever the Kaiser goes, his little prince goes, too.
Anyway! The commercial is entirely in German, which is a language that we don’t speak all that well. Thankfully, we have empathy and cognates, which tell us that Lagerfeld raves about how cool and chic these apparently Parisian cars are until Baptiste strolls in and brakes the news that the vehicles are actually made in Germany. Then Karl is all flustered and snooty. Fun!
