Kate Middleton Dolled Up In Blue As Topless Tabloids Face Indictments
With all of the excitement over Kate Middleton’s royal baby bump, we’d almost forgotted about those other parts of her anatomy that became the object of tabloid fascination a few months back. Yes, we’re talking about those pesky topless photos. They’re back in the news today following reports that two indictments related to their publication have been made in French court. But as for the Duchess herself, she’s been busy looking gorgeous as ever at a National Portrait Gallery appearance. As if there were ever any doubt as to who’d come out on top in the end.
The two players facing charges are Ernesto Mauri, the CEO of Mondadori France, which publishes Closer, the tabloid that originally ran the photos, and a photographer for regional newspaper La Provence. The former is being charged with invasion of privacy, while the latter has not been named. If you’ll recall, the Palace’s lawyer was successful in obtaining an injunction against Closer back in October, and the magazine was forced to pull all remaining copies of the issue and hand over all of the photos and memory devices.
While the battle is not yet over for the royal couple’s legal team, Kate didn’t seem too riled up over the whole thing this evening, stepping out to celebrate The Art Room charity in an ice blue, pregnancy-friendly Emilia Wickstead frock.
