Kate Middleton Exercises Her Right To Bare Arms At First Solo Event

Kate Middleton attended her very first solo engagement last night, and she looked GREAT.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a floor-length gown in a lovely shade of pale blue-gray (green-gray? something-gray?) with an embellished strap situation. We’re used to seeing the royal in sleeves, so this is a nice departure (though, man, do we love sleeves). Dare we say Catherine is pulling a Michelle?!

Either way, it looks like those princess lessons are doing the trick! Kate chatted with guests at Clarence House in support of In Kind Direct, a charity which helps hook up UK charities with surplus goods. We’ve studied the photos extensively, and have surmised that Kate looks like a sparkling conversationalist. We also just really want to be her friend. And borrow her clothes.
