PHOTOS: Kate Middleton And Michelle Obama Meet In Person

We’re not sure why we never imagined this moment actually happening, but in a wonderful confluence of fashion, politics, royal extravagance, and People We Like To Cover, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and First Lady Michelle Obama met in person today. And they wore clothes! (Shocker, we know.)

Middleton wore a camel colored bandage-y dress by Reiss (her more or less go-to brand at this point) while Obama wore a belted print dress by Barbara Tfank which Cathy Horyn thinks seemed “a smidge too short.”

My guess is that the President and First Lady were probably congratulating them on their marriage, and probably didn’t mention anything policy-related. But I’d love to know what else they talked about in those few minutes. Their trip to CA?

FLOTUS is such a fabulous role model. And that pink jacket looks just right in that room somehow!

lukewarm on the general/overall looks (Kate’s hair(??!!), maybe Michelle’s skirt could have gone down to a Rosemary Clooney’s 50s length, colour coordinate and tailor the bolero perhaps) and camera man wants a good clap
