Kate And Naomi Will Be Paid £1 Each To Help Close The Olympics
With all of the kerfuffle over the US Olympic uniforms, we almost forgot about the other fashion-y part of the games: the Closing Ceremonies!
We had already heard rumblings that Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell would be in attendance, but now more details of the spectacle are being leaked from across the pond. The Mirror reports that the models will be joined by fellow catwalking Brits Lily Cole, Stella Tennant, Lily Donaldson and Georgia May Jagger for the show, said to be called “A Symphony of British Music.” The ladies will strut their stuff in British designs as David Bowie performs his aptly-titled hits Fashion and Rebel Rebel. Hopefully the Queen will get in the spirit too and sport that Bowie-esque face paint she wears so well.
Whatever she wears, though, it’s pretty clear she’ll be taking in some of the best music the U.K. has to offer. Other musicians set to perform at the ceremonies reportedly include Queen, Annie Lennox, One Direction, and George Michael (who, we can only hope, will include video star Moss in his act). All performers will be paid the whopping sum of £1 for their services — sorry Ms. Campbell, looks like you may miss out of that top-earner Forbes list yet again.
