PHOTO: Kate Moss Is ‘Forever Young’ On The Cover Of Vogue Australia
Lara, Miranda, Karlie, Candice: The first four segments of Vogue Australia’s five-part ‘Model Series’ collectors edition have featured four of the most in-demand names in the business. This month, the glossy is celebrating beauty at all ages with its ‘Forever Young’ issue, pertinently landing none other than humanoid fountain of youth Kate Moss to front their latest cover.
Moss fronts the mag with tousled ‘60s hair and a stony Lana del Rey-like expression that Vogue has really been vibing off lately. The devout yacht fan also switched her St. Tropez tan for crisp sailor stripes, bound to make the Aussies particularly pissed that the issue hits stands as they’re facing the front end of winter.
But with most things Kate there’s controversy, and likewise with this sun-kissed picture of childlike innocence. Back in April [frockwriter] reported that the five-part series was in fact an exclusive deal with IMG Models Australia and would feature only models represented by that agency. To make things worse, Kerr was one of the models poached by IMG when it extended its reach down under at the end of last year.
So yeah, probably not kosher salt Vogue is throwing into local agencies’ wounds. But, whether she’s playing the villain or the victim, Kate is always at her best when there’s a bit of moral misconduct involved. Safe to say her upcoming Playboy cover won’t evidence this quite so subtly.
