Kate And Will’s California Trip Involves Polo & A $10,800 Hotel Suite
Kate and Prince William may not have taken our advice, but their visit to California sounds pretty great. Let’s discuss the details!
The royal couple will arrive in LA on July 8th (following their tour of Canada) and leave on the 10th. This really only gives them one full day in the City of Angels! During their lone non-travel day, William is playing in a Santa Barbara charity polo match, where Kate will participate in the trophy ceremony.
Later that night they’ll attend a black-tie event called “BAFTA Brits to Watch” at the Belasco Theater. The purpose of the event is to have young British film industry types mingle with Hollywood bigwigs. But this doesn’t mean the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be rubbing shoulders with celebs — this is meant for “people in the back room who put the deals together.”
Kate’s assistant and hairdresser will be accompanying the pair, though obviously Kate will be doing her own makeup. And where will they be staying? Reportedly in the presidential suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The 1932-square foot digs will cost them $10,800 a night. (This is slightly cheaper than their honeymoon.) According to the hotel’s website:
This suite features classic wood furnishings and is bathed in soft tones of peach, mauve, sage, yellow, and beige. The suite has one king-size bed, full vanity and dressing area, gas fireplace, a spacious living room with dining area, den, and 1½ marble bathrooms with bidet, jacuzzi tub, and two stall showers. There is a full kitchen and access to a restaurant-size banquet kitchen across the hall, a grand piano, private balcony, and a top-floor view towards downtown Los Angeles.
Swanky! And now we will wait with bated breath to see what Kate will wear during her first stateside trip.
