Kate Upton’s Refreshing Candor: ‘It’s Complicated For A Model With Boobs!’
Having been on set once upon a time with a model in possession of an ample C-cup (who, as it happens, also turned out to have been pregnant), we can testify to the difficulty of squeezing breasts into designer sample sizes . Generally speaking, they’re simply incompatible.
So we see where Kate Upton is coming from in the January issue of Vogue UK, the cover of which we got a peek at last week. On set, the Youtube sensation turned high fashion darling apparently balked at many of the underpinnings on offer, voicing the same compaint about unnecessary padding that seems to be every woman’s refrain when they enter a Victoria’s Secret store: “I need something without built-in pads,” Upton insists. “I don’t want to make them look bigger! I’m not looking to enhance them!”
She admits that it is “complicated for a model with boobs,” but says that she quite happy to take on the role of being a positive example to young women:
“I never imagined that I would be in a position to be a role model. I just focused on being healthy and being the best that I could be. I’m happy to be seen as a good example. If I can help and influence girls who are going through body-image issues then I think that’s amazing.”
