WATCH: Katie Couric Thinks Kate Middleton ‘Needs To Eat More’
Katie Couric debuts her eponymous talk show on September 10, and as such, is hyping it up in interviews. She chatted with SheKnows recently about the angle of the show, the key to finding happiness, and her hopes of landing a dream interview with Kate Middleton.
The 55-year-old former news anchor was asked about who she’d like to interview on her show. Couric’s answer:
“It would be really interesting to interview Kate Middleton because I think she has comported herself so well since she’s been thrust in the limelight, and has done such a good job. Even though I feel like she needs to eat more because she’s so thin.”
Well, that’s kind of a back-handed compliment. And surprising coming from someone as intelligent and thoughtful as Katie. Middleton’s body is no one’s business but her own — and for every Couric, there’s a Karl Lagerfeld (who famously called the Duchess’ silhouette “divine”), which is to say, conjecture about her weight and eating habits is just that.
