PHOTOS: Katie Holmes Gets Wet And Wild For Allure

Katie Holmes has the head-to-toe sultry summer look down pat for the April Allure cover.

The 34-year-old mom sports beachy, almost wet-looking strands and a good dose of bronzer that only works for magazine covers — beautiful, but impractical. While our initial thought was that Holmes is topless on the cover, an outtake from the shoot by Tom Munro reveals that her strappy DKNY dress is just hidden behind her arms. A smart choice from the mag’s art team, who’s surely betting on the is-she-or-isn’t-she look to attract more readers at the newsstand.

As for the interview itself, Holmes chats about being the first celebrity spokesperson for Bobbi Brown, listening to RuPaul’s “You Better Work,” and she also reveals the best beauty tip from her mom: “You may be pretty, and you may be talented, but nobody will remember that if you’re mean.” Word, Holmes.
