Only Women and Gays Can See Katy Perry Naked

If our body looked like Katy Perry‘s, we’d pretty much want everyone to look at us naked — and we thought she shared that sentiment. The woman is basically only half dressed everywhere she goes. But it turns out she really is a creature of modesty, because she banned straight guys from coming on the set of the music video for her new single California Gurls, which looks like someone poured a bag of Splenda over Lady Gaga, and in which Perry is seen lying atop a cloud of cotton candy in the buff. Girls and gay men were totally allowed in, though.

Perry explained her reasoning to MTV News:

“The cotton candy clouds! I was naked. It was really fun to do. We had to do like a closed set because we didn’t want anyone seeing anything … You weren’t allowed (on the set) unless you were a girl or you’re gay; I think that’s probably like the standard for all girlfriends. Anyways, I was really excited to do something like this and really nervous. But it turned out (okay).”

OK – we get that. Perry doesn’t want to be, um, objectified by people who might find her sexually attractive. Not in person, and not unless you’re Snoop Dog or the ostensibly heterosexual music video director Matthew Cullen. And it’s not like the straights are going to watch the video on YouTube later, anyway.

They’ll watch right here on Styleite.
