Katy Perry’s Boobs Are Too Big For The Military
Katy Perry was just trying to do her part to support the troops when she signed on to perform in VH1‘s annual “Divas Salute the Troops” concert for the USO.
The concert, like all highly produced media events, requires a large number of still images, for which Perry gladly posed as a pinup girl. But when her publicists saw the images, they decided that her breasts looked too big and asked to have them retouched. You can only imagine how they react when they see her in person.
Perry, through no fault of her own, isn’t exactly what you might call a stranger to Photoshop work. Rolling Stone moved around her hair a few months ago; Harper’s Bazaar made her face look like it belonged to someone else. But somehow, knowing that Perry’s camp sat down at the computer with the goal of reducing her bust in mind, and not just the desire to make the photo of her look “better” irks us. Perry’s natural breasts (emphasis on natural, people) are a 34D, and that’s how they should be presented. As far as we can tell, they haven’t caused her any nip-slips or back problems, so we can’t think of a reason that they’d be considered too big.
Unless, of course, her publicists think the sight of a curvy woman in a skimpy costume is going to whip the largely male members of the armed forces who will be at this concert into an uncontrollable frenzy. Because in that case it was probably a bad idea for the USO to hire Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson for this gig, too.
