Katy’s Sesame Street Dress Was Designed By Giles Deacon

Katy Perry’s Too-Sexy-For-Sesame-Street Dress wasn’t just any old dress, it was a dress designed by fashion world wunderkind and Ungaro’s newly appointed head designer Giles Deacon — though his version apparently came with a decorative tarantula. How much more Sesame Street can you get?

The dress opened Giles’ Spring 2010 RTW show and, now that we can actually see the full length of it, features two large pockets, a nipped waist, and an entirely different fabric running down the back. And the more we look at it, the more we can’t help but think Sesame Street was being totally silly in banning Perry. As we’re sure no small number of people have noted, Elmo’s not even wearing pants!
