KaufmanFranco Designers To Create New American Airlines Uniforms

Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco of KaufmanFranco have been dressing Hollywood stars like Jennifer Aniston, Julianne Hough, and Maria Bello for years, but now the two are taking on a different type of client — American Airlines.

The airline company has tapped Kaufman and Franco to design new uniforms for male and female flight attendants, customer service agents, and premium service team members as part of its revamp. After filing for bankruptcy protection in 2011, American Airlines has been issuing changes to the company such as a new logo, and paint job for its aircrafts.

The uniforms are expected to be presented to American Airlines personnel in 18 to 24 months, and Kaufman tells WWD that he and Franco want the designs “to look timely, but timeless, too.” It’s pretty safe to say that the designers are known for their modern, structured, and often body-baring styles, which begs the question: will there be cleavage?
