Kim Kardashian Addresses Kanye West’s Pregnancy Announcement

Last night, Kanye West revealed to the world that Kim Kardashian is pregnant, telling the 5,000 person audience at his concert in Atlantic City to “make some noise for my baby mama right there”. Kardashian, who, as it turns out, had no idea West was planning the announcement, addressed the news this morning in a statement published to her website.

It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo

West’s big reveal took Kardashian completely by surprise. A source told TMZ that “she and Kanye had not discussed announcing it — and, in fact, had planned to say nothing until she started showing.” Word has it that Kardashian started crying when West made the announcement, but lucky for the rapper, TMZ reports they were “tears of joy”.
