‘Tan Mom’ Patricia Krentcil is everywhere these days! As for Kim Kardashian, well, she’s everywhere all days.

The reality TV star tweeted a picture of herself with a deep tan along with the message:

The tannerexic mom has some serious competition!!! LOL

“Tannerexic”? Ugh. We thought that unfortunate (and, frankly, offensive) word had been fazed out of our cultural lexicon after Tara Reid dropped off the bottom of the D-list. Also, Kim, darling, we’re really going to have to work on your spelling if you’re going to be tweeting to 14 million-odd people. 14 million! Madness.

Anyways, Kardashian is a little late to the game with this particular gag. Last week Kristen Wiig parodied the ‘Tan Mom,’ famous for being accused of bringing her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning bed with her, in a sketch on Saturday Night Live. Snooki has come out calling her “crazy.” The woman even has her own action figure! All of which brings us to the foregone conclusion that America is a weird, weird place.
