Guess Which Designer Is Making Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Dress?
Kim Kardashian took to her blog to announce what we’ve long suspected: A very famous American wedding dress designer will create the gown she’ll wear when she walks down the aisle.
Kardashian wrote late yesterday that Vera Wang will create the dress she’ll marry basketball player Kris Humphries in. Wang, who designed wedding dresses for Chelsea Clinton, Victoria Beckham and Hillary Duff, among others, was the obvious, decadent choice for a wedding filled with details that are way over-the-top. In recent weeks, the two had been spotted everywhere from Wang’s New York store to the Upper East Side cafe Sant Ambroeus, where we’re told they talked about the dress in front of a camera crew. Kardashian says picking Wang was a no-brainer.
Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!
And that’s the truth. If Wang was a predictable choice, the custom dress she creates for Kim won’t be. Granted, it’ll probably be white, but other than that we don’t know what Wang will do — and Kardashian certainly isn’t giving any secrets away.
But all will be revealed soon enough — Kim’s getting married on Aug. 20th, so we’ll be seeing a lot of that dress in just a few weeks. Until then, check out some of Wang’s other bridal creations here, here and here.
