PHOTOS: The Best And Worst Of Yesterday’s West Coast Red Carpets
Yesterday, California played host to two events that drew stars both well-dressed and otherwise: Lucky’s Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference and the opening of celebrity fitness guru Tracy Anderson’s flagship studio. We’ve picked our winners and losers; how about you?
Gwyneth Paltrow: If anything can make Barney the Dinosaur look as chic as Barneys New York, its this Victoria Beckham mini. We’re cursing our closets right now for not holding anything in this exact hue — and our pockets for not being deep enough to scoop the dress up off of Net-A-Porter. And we love that rather than opt for neutral shoes, she went for blindingly bright Michael Kors sandals. Sure, the combo may not adhere to the rules of color theory, but who cares when Gwynnie makes it look this good?
Stacy Keibler: Another toned, tanned lady at the Tracy Anderson opening…who would’ve guessed? Kidding aside, props to Keibler for choosing a frock that is both figure-flattering and daytime appropriate. And props to Rebecca Minkoff for designing it!
Christa B. Allen: As a pale person myself, I understand Allen’s plight here, but those watercolor pastels are washing her out like crazy. And cute though it may be, the Alice + Olivia dress is also way too high school dance-y for the 21-year-old Revenge actress. Better luck next time, girl!
Pia Toscano: Sleeveless or not, this look is way too severe for springtime. Which is too bad, because with a jacket and change of season and scenery (to New York, perhaps?) this just might work.
