PHOTOS: Lady Gaga Wears A Dress Made Entirely Of Hair
Last night, Lady Gaga performed a surprise show at New York City’s Oak Room. But just because it was (essentially) a small hometown show, doesn’t mean that Gaga could just show up in any old meat dress.
Instead, the singer came decked out in a dress made of human hair and a pair of fishnets.
While it’s not certain who made the look, there’s been some speculation that it might be Armani, largely due to her recent deal with the house. Of course, we thought that it might be the work of another designer, cartoonist Jim Benton.
A few weeks ago we interviewed Benton after his cartoon “My New Designs For Lady Gaga” surfaced on the Internet. One of those designs was Gaga wearing an adhesive strip and rolling on the floor of a barbershop (it’s slide four, below). Benton admitted that it would be “quite provocative” and “quite repellent” at the same time. But seeing it in real life threw both us and Benton for a loop.
“Haw! Crazy!” Benton said in an email. “She makes it look so much better than anything I ever imagined!”
Gross as it is, we have to agree.
