WATCH: American Idol Censors Lady Gaga’s Shoes
Lady Gaga‘s shoes have always been crazy, but the pair she wore to give advice to the final four contestants on American Idol this week were downright … well, they looked like penises.
The $4,500 leather and Lucite platforms Gaga wore to dole out advice to James, Haley, Scott and Alaina were supported by heels that so resembled male genetalia they had to be censored on television. Gaga got the shoes from British label Void of Course, which makes lots of clothing that, well, let’s just say you’d have to be pretty creative to make any of its stuff look appropriate at your office.
The shoes are part of the label’s Impossibility of Love collection, and while we can’t say we love the shoes, we also can’t say they weren’t a provocative choice. There’s a video of Gaga’s mentorship below, and a photo of the heels right after that.
