Gaga Works It, Lands An Internship With Phillip Treacy
To be honest we thought Gaga‘s plate was totally full — what with the requisite hourly costume changes and outfit brainstorming sessions, not to mention the effort that it must take to walk a centimeter in those ubiquitous hoof shoes. Anyway, it seems being the world’s most notorious fame monster wasn’t enough — Gaga’s now out to conquer the glamourous world of millinery.
According to British Vogue, the Gags is bent on creating her own line of headwear and in the name of all things unexpected has applied for an an internship with haute hatter Phillip Treacy . Apparently the pair worked together on several avant-garde headpieces (including that telephone) and Gaga sent a request in for an apprenticeship — though a company spokesperson says nothing has been confirmed as of yet. (Wink.) We pity the other intern applicants — we fear not even Tracy Flick could compete with Gaga.
“Internships are a win-win situation because the business also benefits as they are provided with some talented, affordable help,” Ben Rosen, CEO of Inspiring Interns, said. Well, we’re not sure if Gaga falls into the affordable category but definitely the talented. Plus, as Vogue points out, she’s not the first celeb-cum-coffee fetcher: Kanye West spent some time at Louis Vuitton (or at least talked a lot about it), hockey player Sean Avery pucked around at Vogue and look what it did for Whitney Port!
Anyways, from one intern to another we might want to suggest the Lady invest in a pair of sensible flats. Nothing says pain like going on that AM coffee run in a pair of 6-inch hoofs.
