Gaga To Embark On New Career As Fashion Columnist

Early Wednesday morning (or late Tuesday night, depending on how you want to look at it) Lady Gaga took to Twitter to announce her newest endeavor as a monthly columnist for the uber-fashiony V magazine. And while it’s already safe to say that pretty much anything the Fame Monster touches turns to gold, this is one project we really can’t wait to see.

According to the announcement, Gaga’s column will debut in next month’s issue, V71. As for the content, V says she’ll be weighing in on “all things fashion” which doesn’t help clarify things all that much — in Gaga’s world, “fashion” has a pretty wide definition. Though we’d love to see Gaga opine on the art world references at last season’s fashion week, we’re not-so-secretly hoping this column will give us an inside look at the daily works in the Haus of Gaga — or at the very least serve as an advice column.

We’ve always wondered how to pull off that mixed-plastics look Gaga does so well.

In the meantime, V is asking readers and fans to submit their best Gaga (styled as an “editrix”, of course) illustrations. One lucky artist will have their piece chosen as Gaga’s V magazine headshot. Enter by midnight on Sunday, April 3. The winner will be revealed that Monday.
