PHOTOS: Lady Gaga Covers Literally The Biggest Magazine EVER
Love her or hate her, you sort of have to admit that Lady Gaga is larger than life. So when it came time to find a cover girl for Visionaire magazine’s Larger Than Life issue, which is certified to be the physically largest magazine in the world, of course they rung up the Mother Monster herself.
Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin photographed Gaga, styled as a greased up mermaid with multicolored hair and face gills, for the historic cover. In the pages of the magazine, artists from Ed Ruscha and Marina Abramovic, photographers like Steven Meisel and Bruce Weber and Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld express their visions of what larger than life means — on pages that are literally seven feet tall.
The Guinness Book of World Records has certified that at nearly 5 feet by 7 feet, this issue of the magazine is in fact the largest fashion glossy ever published. But don’t worry — if you can’t figure out how to get something that large onto your coffee table, there’s a smaller version that measures 36 inches by 50 inches.
So how much will the magazine run you? The world record breaking book is being published in a limited edition of 250 copies that will sell for $1,500 each. The smaller books cost $375. But if you don’t have that kind of scratch laying around, you can take a look at a few of the images from this issue of Visionaire below.
