PHOTO: Lady Gaga’s Vogue Cover Is Here!

Lady Gaga‘s March cover of American Vogue seemed to make the magazine’s advertisers happy — and from the looks of things, it’ll make readers happy, too.
While the first and, as of yet, only available image of the cover might be small and a little blurry, we can get a general idea of everything that’s going on — Gaga is wearing a pink wig and a cream dress by … well, we don’t know who it’s by. We do know that the cover was shot by Mario Testino, and also that it’s not like any of the Vogue covers we’ve seen in recent months. Gaga’s not smiling and bubbly like Anne Hathaway was in November and she doesn’t look cold like Kristen Stewart did in February.
She also does not appear to have eyebrows. We approve.
It’s a much more high-fashion image than we’re used to seeing on Vogue covers — a fact we’ll attribute to Gaga being a much more high fashion celebrity than anyone else since Grace Jones. And yet somehow, it all works together to create this really striking and straightforward picture. It’s quite powerful. Which fits, because, you know, this is The Power Issue.
The magazine should be on newsstands in the coming weeks. In the meantime, what do you think?
