Laetitia Casta On Choupette: ‘That Cat Has Crazy Eyes’

Model-turned-actress Laetitia Casta covers the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK. Inside, she chats about her recent photoshoot with Karl Lagerfeld‘s cat Choupette for V magazine.

For V‘s September issue, the pair were photographed on a balcony with the picturesque Eiffel Tower in the background. The pics are obviously gorgeous, albeit a little awkward. It was even more awkward for Casta, who genuinely feared that she would somehow kill Choupette:

“So we are shooting on this balcony in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and I was so f*****g scared that Choupette would step back and fall off and that Karl would hate me forever because I killed his cat. The cat was like, ‘maaaiooowarrgh’ and I was like, ‘gasp’. I did everything with that cat. We even shot on the bed. The whole thing was about Choupette. And she has two nannies … It was a weird job, when I think about it.”

It is weird, isn’t it? She also mentions Choupette’s eyes, which apparently inspired Lagerfeld to make a whole collection around it: “That cat has crazy eyes”. Crazy beautiful eyes?
