PHOTOS: Lana Del Rey Is The New Face Of H&M
Rumors of Lana Del Rey fronting H&M’s fall and winter campaign are true, and we have the pics!
H&M creative director Donald Schneider told WWD that Del Rey’s ads are “very L.A. noir”. The ads were shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, but only two images have been released so far. In the first, Del Rey stands in a blogger pose wearing a cuddly angora sweater, light pink pants, and awesome earrings, and sporting a slicked back, voluminous hairstyle. Del Rey is wearing the same outfit in the second ad, but is sitting and resting her head on her hands. And yes, the ads include her dragon nails.
The chanteuse also shot a performance of “Blue Velvet” for a minifilm that’ll be featured on H&M’s site beginning September 19, and the film will be edited down for television commercials.
