PHOTOS: The Secret Behind Lauren Conrad’s Impossibly Glossy Locks
Fact: Lauren Conrad‘s tresses would totally beat ours in a hair-off. She experiments with trends and nails it every time, and while we probably wouldn’t take her advice on business, we will gladly take her word on haircare.
LC looks Coachella chic on the March cover of Lucky in a sheer embroidered top and denim cut-offs, and answers a bunch of readers’ questions inside. Thankfully, the mag got Conrad to spill her secrets behind her shiny hair and classic cat eyeliner:
Lucky: Your hair is always perfect. How often do you style and wash it?
LC: It’s not perfect, to be honest. I mean, I have my hairstylist, who’s been working on my hair for years, help with cut and color and all that, but for the most part I just kind of let it do what it’s going to do. I wash it every two or three days and don’t style it myself much.
Lucky: How do you get your cat eyeliner so perfect?
LC: Practice and Q-tips. I dip a Q-tip in eye makeup remover and dab it on my mistakes. I use Mark Painted Black liquid eyeliner—it’s $6.50—and you just drag it along your lashline and then, depending on your eye shape, you can go really dramatic or do a small little flick. You should just mess around with it till you find a shape that works for you.
Alrighty then, it’s settled. We’re swearing off a hair wash until Thursday and stocking up on Q-tips.
