Kate Moss’s Daughter Mutilated Via Photoshop In Vogue September Issue

Oh, man. Photoshop knows no bounds.

As the eagle eyes over at Jezebel point out, Vogue did a number on Kate Moss‘s daughter Lila Grace. Mario Testino‘s shot of Kate and her 8-year-old for the September issue was indeed Photoshopped. And poorly. Lila’s right pinky and ring finger seem to have been erased, as they fade into Kate’s back. It’s really odd-looking! And very egregious!

WTF Vogue.

This is weird, becuase I do love the photo, but now, it just made me get confused… I don’t know……….!!! Still gonna have it! So why all the complains?

Kate’s left arm also seems incredibly long, with two elbows

I don’t want to see a topless mom hugging a topless daughter.

I work at a retouching studio and i have to admit the mistake is pretty big. Having said that, this is normal when there are tight deadlines. Sometimes we handle 5 or 6 editorials and a couple advertising campaigns all in one wee and deadlines drive us crazy. The retouching in this image is very well done and mature, as per Mario Testino’s standards, the hand vanishing is bugging but not important in this day and age. Besides, it’ll be a fun anecdote when the print version comes out and the hand is corrected.

pretty lame mistake… i bet the picture would’ve looked fine without the retouching… but clothes would make this picture much less weird….

So what? Its still amazingly beautiful!

I think it’s a sweet photo and there’s nothing sexual about it. If you’re making something sexual about it, you’re just a freakin’ pedophile. People are so uptight nowadays about nudity, or, in this case, implied nudity that isn’t even showing anything.
