Why Linda’s $46K Child Support Request Is Kind Of Reasonable
Earlier this week we learned the shocking amount of money Linda Evangelista is fighting to get in child support from her baby daddy Francois-Henri Pinault. And while at first glance the $46,000 a month the model is demanding might seem just a little excessive, the Wall Street Journal has managed to find away to make all the needs of little Augustin James seem downright appropriate.
In a segment for the financial paper, Natasha Pearl, president of a lifestyle management firm in New York, tallied the expenses needed to help Linda’s son maintain the lavish life to which he’s become accustomed.
To wit: the monthly payments for four-year-old Auggie’s three nannies alone total over $23,000 a month and the boy’s driver costs a hefty $10,000 to employ. And naturally, it’s only appropriate that Evangelista’s son be decked out in designer duds, so Pearl predicted a minimum of $3,000 for a monthly fashion budget. Finally, Augustin’s education rings up at around $2,500 a month and Pearl estimated sports, tutoring, and other extra-curriculars would total to anywhere between $2,000 and $5,000.
They say you can’t put a price on parenthood but in this case, it’s apparently very, very expensive.
Watch Pearl break down her estimates for Auggie’s monthly spending — $41,000 without food, toys, rent, or vacations accounted for! — below:
