Lindsay Lohan’s Film The Canyons Surprisingly Gets Picked Up
It would appear that all of the recent publicity surrounding the seemingly doomed Lindsay Lohan flick “The Canyons” has done it some good. In spite of a scathing expose on what a nightmare Lohan is to work with, penned by a New York Times reporter that hung around on the film’s L.A. set for a few weeks and witnessed firsthand the actress’s erratic behavior, Vulture reports that IFC has acquired the rights to the film and is planning on an early summer release. This occurring in spite of the fact that SXSW rejected it based on “quality issues.”
With a screenplay by Bret Easton Ellis and an NC-17 rating slapped on, we anticipate that we’ll be shielding our eyes for most of the so-called “erotic thriller.” But mark your calendars. And in true Lohan spirit, be sure to show up uninvited and wearing excessive makeup.
