To Discuss: Liv Tyler’s Hosiery Situation
We spend about four months of the year in opaque black tights, so much so that by the time March rolls around they’re practically a second skin. So we understand what it’s like to have a little hosiery ennui, but we’ve never quite gotten on board with the style that Liv Tyler chose for last night’s premiere of The Hobbit in New York City.
Tyler paired her all-black ensemble with a pair of sheer black pantyhose, set off by a bright red lip and matching scarlet stilettos. And while its not like the sub-100 dernier style is particularly out there, it does seem to have fallen out of trend as of late in favor of kooky colors, kitschy prints, and, of course, the Kate Middleton-approved nude nylons.
All of which begs the question: are you a fan of sheer black hose? Or is it opaque or bust as far as you’re concerned?
