Can You Spot The Photoshop Flub In This Louis Vuitton Ad?

Marc Jacobs‘ fall ads for Louis Vuitton have been lauded for featuring three different supermodels of varying ages and hair color (diversity!): Natalia Vodianova, Karen Elson, and Christy Turlington. But while the images certainly are gorgeous, it appears the creative people behind the ads took some liberties with the laws of physics.

If you look carefully at the top lefthand corner of the ad, you’ll see what appears to be the front of Turlington’s torso reflected in the mirror above Vodianova. But if you look at the angle of the mirrors, as well as the placement of Turlington’s arms, it becomes clear that the reflection they show makes no sense in the context of the image.

It’s a small mistake, but it also isn’t their first. Back in June, Photoshop Disasters called out a different image from the same ad campaign for making a very similar, if no less glaring error.

You missed the second flub. Middle mirror: Image of Vodianova’s profile below the towel/above the small lamp is physically impossible considering angles and positions of mirrors and models.

Ooops, speaking of boo boos–in your explanation of Louis Vuitton’s mistakes, it should read, “three models,” not thee. Spell check like crazy…….ha ha Laura
